Loose and Lively Watercolour Painting

  • Pennard House Shepton Mallet, England, BA4 6TP United Kingdom (map)

Join us for a relaxing residential stay in the stunning setting of Pennard House for a fascinating practical course, some delicious locally-sourced food and a truly home-from-home atmosphere. Our tutor, artist Shari Hills, will be guiding you through a wonderful experience in watercolour.

We will explore a variety of watercolour techniques, taking a seasonal approach for inspiration - late summer flowers, harvest produce, ramshackle allotments etc. We’ll be using wet into wet techniques and experimenting with the use of simple printing and pattern making using found objects, salt, composting bags, soluble crayons to create exciting, atmospheric paintings.

This course would suit those with some watercolour experience who would like to experiment with some different techniques to develop their watercolour style.

The course runs from dinner on the first day (24th Sept) until lunch on the last day (26th Sept)
