Join a wonderful group of makers to make a stunning 4-foot high deer sculpture from willow grown locally in the Somerset Levels under the expert guidance of artist Jo Sadler.
Jo will help guide you every step of the way as you weave and build this amazing animal and by the end of the day you'll have a characterful willow sculpture for your home or garden!
Our home for the day will be the stunning surroundings of Pennard House, a Grade II listed manor house nestled in the idyllic Somerset countryside. The friendly team at Pennard will ensure you are well looked after throughout your visit with a beautiful 2-course lunch and refreshments, not to mention a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.

Willow artist Jo Sadler is a local Willow sculpture artist. Jo teaches how to create many different kinds of animal sculptures from leaping hares to deer, pigs and chickens to name just a few. Each class she leads is guided step by step to create your own unique animal sculpture with bags of character.

Haselbury Mill is nestled in the Somerset countryside with a meandering river, tranquil lake and 14-acres of glorious gardens. With three historically listed buildings and their Magnificent Tithe barn, it is truly a location steeped in history with a timeless charm.

Jo recommends you bring a sturdy pair of gardening gloves, some secateurs and an apron if you have them. Plus, it might be a good idea to bring a note pad and pen if you want to take notes, but most importantly bring plenty of enthusiasm!
