Join us in the charming riverside location of The Mill in Rode, Somerset, as we welcome auctioneer and art expert Richard Kay who will be sharing his journey through some of the most compelling, curious and often amusing experiences he has had during his career as an auctioneer.
When you arrive we will enjoy a beautiful 2-course meal seated in the stunning loom room of this former 16th century cloth mill. We’ll then welcome Richard to the stage to take us through his entertaining and fascinating lecture, before inviting any questions from the audience at the end.

Richard Kay has been an auction house picture specialist since 1987, beginning his career at Sotheby’s after university (where he read Art History). He has worked at Lawrences Auctioneers in Crewkerne since 1999. For thirty years he has much enjoyed contributing articles to magazines as well as giving talks and lectures to groups and societies of all sizes in the West Country and further afield.

The Loom Room is located on the first floor and access is only available via stairs, so not suitable for those people who cannot manage stairs. The venue has plenty of parking available.
