Clare Walsh
Clare is a Textile Designer/ Maker inspired by the beautiful countryside and gardens in Glos/ Somerset and Wiltshire. Her designs are based on leaves, seasonal flowers, grasses and herbs, designs are hand drawn and then exposed onto screens which are used to print onto natural linen using specialist textile paints. The printed linen is used to make a range of accessories and products for the home which make wonderful gifts.
With a background in education Clare teaches printed textiles workshops including Indian Block Printing , she is a member of the Heritage Craft Association and enjoys introducing students to this traditional craft. She also teaches sublimation printing using the heat press, ‘Printing with Leaves’ is a unique way of capturing textures and fine details of leaves producing innovative designs .
